Hypoglycemia is countered by 4 hormones

• Glucagon
• Epinephrine
• Growth hormone
• Cortisol

NB:

• Glucagon and epinephrine increase hepatic output of glucose
  * By increasing glycogenolysis

• Growth hormone and cortisol decrease utilisation of glucose in various peripheral tissues
