Depression
- Diagnostic criteria

Major depressive episode

At least 5 of the following symptoms for 2 weeks

(Must have Depressed mood OR Anhedonia)

PS. Sad face

P - Psychomotor agitation/retardation

S - Suicidal thoughts or thoughts of death

S - Sleep difficulty

A - Anhedonia

D - Depressed mood

F - Fatigue

A - Appetitie/weight change

C - Concentration impaired

E - Esteem problem (worthlessness/guilt)

 

Symptoms impaired functioning

Drugs and medical conditions excluded.

If there is mood-incongruent delusion, diagnosis of depression is EXCLUDED.
