Can cause endocarditis or infection of plastic implants.
Propionibacterium Acnes (strict anaerobe) -> implicated in acne.
Normal commensal flora in human mucous membrane.
Maintains normal pH.
May contribute to dental caries.
Causes disease in animals, and rarely erysipeloid in people (a skin infection).
