Effects: direct and indirect effects

 

Indirect effect: Increases vagal activity

 

Sugar part is related to water solubility and potency

 

Increased dose --> slope of phase 4 is steeper, phase 0 is more gentle (due to Na+ blocking activity), shorted phase 2 and 3

 

 

 

 

Digoxin toxicity

 

Treatment: increase K+, administer antibody to bind to the drug (??? digibind)
